NYX COSMETICS Tinted Brow Mascara: Bold, Natural, and Cost-Efficient?

NYX COSMETICS Tinted Brow Mascara is exactly as advertised. The product looks like a mascara, but has a tiny, short brush for a precise application. There are five different colors to choose from: blonde, chocolate, brunette, espresso, and black. Each is highly pigmented, so choose wisely. As explained on the package (and writer tested) you should apply the product in an upward manner to coat each hair evenly without leaving behind excess product. Also, for a lighter look you can gently dab the applicator onto a piece of tissue paper to thin out the coat you’re about to apply.

The Positives
This product works and looks natural! Simply by thickening each hair and applying color, brows seem thicker yet still your own. It goes on wet, but quickly dries so you can continue to apply your makeup without worrying about smearing. Plus, an amazing surprise is that this product does NOT smudge throughout the day or wear off. I have used NYX COSMETICS Brow Pencil and have been disappointed with its longevity, but they definitely stepped up their resistance with the brow mascara. I have oily, sweaty skin, yet this product stays in place all day which allows for the natural look to be even more believable. To top it off, this product is only $6.99- a steal in the brow world.

The Negatives
Although I love this product, there is something I want everyone to know before applying. You MUST apply upward- just like with a normal mascara- or else this baby will clump and you will have to use makeup remover and start over. But as long as you really pay attention with your application, you will fall in love with this product.

NYX COSMETICS Tinted Brow Mascara is a mascara for your brows- go figure. Joking aside, this product is amazing. The product stays put all day, is highly pigmented, and dries quickly with no flaking. Also the price on this piece is refreshing when compared to most other companies’ brow products.
