The Coleman Portable Grill Is Ready For The Home Or On The Road
Last Updated on June 26, 2018 by Cassie Lyons
Mankind’s relationship with fire goes back thousands of years. It was fire that made our lives safer and brought a different diet into our lives. That relationship continues today with every man who loves to grill. There is an unexplainable bond between a man and his grill, and that tradition lives on in the Coleman 9949-750 Road Trip Grill LXE. The Coleman Portable Grill is the perfect solution for many everywhere who love a reliable grill at home that can go with them anywhere they want to go. The Coleman Road Trip Grill is a 36-inch collapsible grill that is perfect for apartments, backyards, camping and tailgating environments.
The system features two 10,000 BTU covered by porcelain-coated cast-iron grates that provide reliable, even cooking and easy clean up afterward. Additional features for the Coleman 9949 include wheels, a tow handle, and removable side tables that make grilling a breeze no matter where you are. While the Coleman Portable BBQ Grill isn’t the only portable grill on the market, it does have the advantage of providing the best bang for your buck. Other models that are less expensive have fewer features that provide for ease of use; while other models with more features or a greater grilling surface are nearly twice the cost.
Online reviewers had largely positive things to say about the Coleman Portable Gas Grill, with the exception of experienced grillers. Those who enjoy cooking with the grill top down were disappointed to learn that this model is not well suited for this and many of these individuals experienced lid melting issues as a result. Every product comes with disadvantages, but looking past those it is clear that the Coleman Road Trip Barbeque Grill is a great option for many grillers.
The Positives
36-inch collapsible propane grill for use at home or on the road. Grill features porcelain-coated cast-iron grates for durability and cleaning ease. Camping grill meats cook over 2 10,000 BTU straight burners. Include towing handle, wheels, and detachable side tables. Grill measures 36 by 22 by 13 inches with a shipping weight of 60 pounds.
The Negatives
A few reports of the pressure regulator getting stuck and flames melting front panel. Hard to clean grilling surfaces, it can be difficult to clean under the grate surfaces.
So What’s The Scoop?
While it may not be the perfect product for heavy grillers, it makes a fine second portable propane grill and is particularly well suited for use in tailgating and camping situations.
