Cordless Stick Vacuum Offers Easy Transition From Floors To Carpets
Last Updated on June 28, 2017 by Cassie Lyons
The Hoover LINX Cordless Stick Vacuum is one of the newest additions to hit the market, offering the same power of a corded vacuum, but with all the appeals of a stick vacuum. Weighing in at just over 7 pounds, this vacuum is cordless and bagless, featuring an 18-Volt Lithium Ion battery, motorized power brush, 11-inch nozzle and edge-cleaning bristles. The low-profile design uses Hoover’s patented WindTunnel technology, delivering plenty of power and suction to lift and trap dirt. With the ease and portability of a cordless stick vacuum, there are many different products on the market, including those made by Bissell, Dirt Devil and Shark.
However, the Hoover bagless stick vacuum is one that comes out on top, receiving rave reviews and beating out other popular stick vacuums. One improvement is the interchangeable battery that is “fade-proof”, meaning that it holds power until the battery dies. And, a battery fuel gauge lets you know how much juice is left. This is the first stick vacuum to capture the WindTunnel technology and online reviews stress what a big development this is.
The cleaning power, ability to shift from carpet to bare floors and “fade-free” battery are some of the main highlights. However, this cordless stick vacuum still struggles in certain areas where cordless vacs can’t seem to produce. Some customers complained that the battery life was too short (less than 15 minutes), had poor suction and a small dust cup.
The Positives
Interchangeable 18-volt lithium ion battery for fade-free power. Cordless feature means you can travel from room to room with no worries. Utilizes three suction tunnels to lift and remove the hidden dirt. Edge cleaning bristles allow for closer access to walls and corners. The brushroll makes for an easy transition from hard floors to carpets.
The Negatives
Some customers complained that the Hoover Cordless Vacuum battery life was too short. Reports that the stick vac had poor suction and a small dust cup.
So What’s The Scoop?
These are common complaints across products and in order to get the cordless feature, you’ll have to compromise other things to some degree. Overall, this Hoover LINX Cordless Stick Vacuum is a major improvement from past stick vacuums, offering a sleek and powerful design that’s perfect for quick clean-ups.
