This Weber Grill Light Helps Illuminate Your Grilling Surface At Night
Last Updated on August 19, 2016 by Cassie Lyons
Many consider the great American past time to be baseball, but others might argue that grilling is the greatest of America’s past time activities. Grilling is a centerpiece of many of our national holidays, like Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day, so it’s only natural that it holds a place in our hearts. As such, many of us love to grill whenever we get the chance, even after the sun has gone down. Sometimes this task can be difficult on poorly lit patios and decks, but not anymore thanks to the Weber Grill Out Handle Light. This grill light from Weber is designed for use on round and circular model grill handles only.
It has 3 LED lights provide up to 10,000 hours of grill lighting for your grilling surface. The lights are powered by three AAA batteries that can do the job for upwards of 20 hours. Best of all, the Weber grill light can be turned on and off manually or via an automatic tilt sensor. Weber may have the only handle-mounted grill light available on the market. Other grill lights are meant to be mounted on walls near the grill or are freestanding and need to be placed within a certain radius of the grill.
The vast majority of online reviewers loved the Weber BBQ light, but reviewers both positive and negative found one major flaw in the design. The barbeque light’s auto switch function does not engage on all grill models, allowing power to trickle through to the light even when the lid is closed, draining batteries in the process.
The Positives
Turns on and off manually or with tilt sensor activation. Outdoor grill light has LED bulbs illuminate for up to 10,000 hours. Resists heat and moisture damage with glass-reinforced nylon construction. Three separately purchased AAA batteries power for up to 20 hours. Mounting hardware provided light accommodates circular and round handle styles.
The Negatives
Some users felt the barbecue light wasn’t particularly bright. The light’s auto switch function does not engage on all grill models.
So What’s The Scoop?
If you own a Weber and love to grill, this BBQ grill light is a must. Just remember to keep an eye on the auto switch and maybe use the manual on/off switch instead.
