The Breville Die Cast Smart Toaster Is An Intelligent 900 Watt Toaster
Last Updated on July 29, 2018 by Cassie Lyons
Ever get frustrated trying to make a simple piece of toast? Maybe the bread comes out too dark. Or maybe the bagel just doesn’t fit. With the Breville Die-Cast Smart Toaster, uneven, unsatisfactory toasting is a thing of the past. Two outstanding features are at the heart of this Breville Toaster. First is the auto lift and look feature. Much like it sounds, this lets you get a look at the progress of your bread or bagel without interrupting the toasting cycle which means no need to cancel or reset the cycle. The next nifty feature is the “a bit more” setting. If your toast needs, well, a bit more time in the slots, then this feature is for you.
With two slots for toasting, this 900 watt unit also features a one-touch, auto lowering function and push button control settings for the above two functions as well as for bagels, defrosting, reheating and toast. A LED panel is also featured, as is the end-of-cycle beep.
The Positives
900-watt 2-slice toaster with intelligent one-touch auto lowering function. Push-button controls for toast, a bit more, bagel, defrost, and lift-and-look functions. LED panel illuminates according to selected setting on variable browning control. Brushed die-cast metal housing, 1-1/5-inch-wide slots and cord wrap. Defrost, reheat, bagel and cancel functions.
The Negatives
Some reports that the toaster did not brown on both sides. A few users felt that this 900 watt toaster should brown bread a lot faster.
So What’s The Scoop?
The positive reviews for the Breville toaster outweighed the negative reviews online. Those negative reviews did have one common theme: that the toaster did not brown on both sides. Positive reviews stated exactly the opposite.
