This ASO Ankle Brace Helps To Stabilize An Injured Or Weak Ankle
March 24th, 2020
The ASO ankle brace is a really popular and affordable option for basketball players, runners, and everyday people who struggle with the effects of weak ankles. From my research, I’ve found that this particular ankle brace has some features that give it the best balance between stability and flexibility, which makes it great for people who want to baby their ankles but stay active. Where other ankle braces usually have one strap – or are simply a neoprene sleeve or even an ace bandage wrapped just so – this one has two straps. According to the company, this is to mimic the actual stabilizing action of ligaments in the ankles, and according to reviewers, it works.
The ASO is well-known for giving the wearer a feeling of stability without being rigid, so you can still actively play sports. Instead of just being a pain-management option – like a basic neoprene wrap – this brace has proven to prevent injury for many people who struggle with bad ankles. It takes a little time to put on, but most reviewers say it rates much better than other ankle braces, including the Swedo Tarsal Lock, the T2 Active Ankle, and the Mueller Neoprene Ankle Wrap. One user compares it to the McDavid ankle brace, which is made similarly but is a little bulkier.

McDavid Ankle Brace Is An Effective Ankle Sprain Treatment
December 26th, 2018
Ankle injuries can hobble even the strongest athletes for extended periods of time. A lot of the body’s weight and an individual’s mobility rest on this small joint in the human body, and even a simple twisted ankle can sideline an athlete for weeks at a time. Worst of all, once an individual injures their ankle they become prone to future injuries in that same ankle. The McDavid Ankle Brace with Strap can help support your ankle when you return from injury, helping prevent future issues and providing confidence in your ankle. The McDavid Ankle Brace is constructed of a poly/vinyl material and features padded lining, an elastic heel, a sewn in arch.
The brace is designed to be used on either the right or left foot and the straps mean that it can be adjusted without re-lacing the entire brace. Picking out the right size is easy as sizes for the brace are determined by shoe size. McDavid support pieces are widely regarded as the top of the line in the industry, but other ankle braces are available. The type of brace and level of protection offered will differ from person to person depending upon the severity of their injury. Online reviewers were thrilled with the McDavid Ankle Brace with Strap. The lone knock on the product that reviewers could find was that the materials were very thick. Many noted that this made it hard to fit their foot into a shoe with the brace on. If you have suffered an ankle injury or have a chronic ankle problem, the McDavid Ankle Brace with Strap can provide you the support and confidence you need to get back to enjoying the activities you love.

McDavid Thermal Shoulder Wrap Provides Both Hot Or Icy Cold Therapy
October 12th, 2018
Baseball fans everywhere have no doubt seen their favorite star pitcher conduct a post-game interview with a large ice pack on his throwing shoulder. Ice and heat are ideal methods of helping tired or injured muscles and joints recover and/or relax. While your favorite pitcher has a staff of trainers to wrap his shoulder, not everyone has an extra helping hand to get their shoulder wrapped up. For the rest of us there is the McDavid Thermal Shoulder Wrap. The hot or cold shoulder wrap from McDavid is constructed with neoprene materials to help with hot and cold insulation during rehabilitation.
The hot or cold shoulder wrap also features a gel pack that can be used for dual purposes. When the pack is cold the ice treatment it provides helps muscles recover after trauma, while heating the pack allows users to soothe acute injuries that have tendency to recur over time. Other shoulder wraps are available on the market, but few feature the hands free design and use of the McDavid, and even fewer come with a dual purpose gel pack. An overwhelming number of online reviewers had nothing but good things to say about the McDavid Thermal Shoulder Wrap, but not everyone was completely in love with it. A number of reviewers found that the wrap did not hold heat in as well as it did cold and that the gel pack began to leak after being heated up a few times. Others found that it was not as easy to put on alone as McDavid advertises. If you have chronic shoulder issues or just need to ice your shoulder after routine activities, the McDavid Thermal Shoulder Wrap is a good choice for quick, effective relief.

Whether you are a professional working at a job site or a cooking enthusiast who is busy in the kitchen, knowing the exact temperature of certain surfaces and objects is very important. The Fluke Mini Infrared Thermometer is the perfect accessory for anyone who counts on accurate temperature readings in their everyday life. The Fluke Infrared Thermometer features a compact and ergonomic design with a simple trigger operation. The powerful infrared laser is capable of providing temperature readings from as far as six feet away.
It features a digital display that shows both current and maximum temperature. The Fluke 62 mini infrared thermometer offers a best in class accuracy reading capable of picking up temperature readings varying from -20 degrees to 932 degrees Fahrenheit. A variety of infrared thermometers are available on the market. The Fluke is among the best for professional use, but has upsides and downsides compared to other models. Some models have a greater temperature range than the Fluke, with greater displays; while other models are less expensive provide very basic readings and small temperature ranges. Although the majority of online reviewers gave the Fluke non contact infrared thermometer rave reviews, a number of reviewers were not impressed with the Fluke. The biggest complaint was with the portable infrared thermometers main function, reading temperatures accurately.

Comfortably Support Your Neck With The Duro-Med Soft Cervical Collar
October 14th, 2017
The Duro-Med soft foam cervical collar is available in small, medium, large and extra large sizes, which makes it easy to find the perfect fit without having to adjust the collar. It’s made from polyurethane foam and is super soft, while offering adequate support that reduces head and cervical vertebrae movement. The foam is covered with a ribbed stockinet cover that wicks away at moisture so you receive proper air circulation without getting hot and sweaty. When I researched this product, I found that the reviews were somewhat mixed. First it seems to be a good option for those who have minimal discomfort in their neck region.
Secondly it works for those that are looking for a soft and comfortable cervical collar to sleep in or do light chores around the house. The product is made from soft foam that has a 12 density foam and 33 compression rating. It goes on easily and uses a hook and loop closure that can be secured with one hand. The collar is washable and comfortable enough that it can be worn all day. Lots of reviewers enjoy the softness of this product, as it makes the cervical collar comfortable and hassle-free to wear. In fact, the collar is so soft, some reviewers said they sleep with it on and have no discomfort whatsoever. The product also washes well and won’t stretch out or fade, making it easy to keep clean. Sizing seems to be spot-on, although some felt that it would be nice to have an adjustable collar that could be modified to the proper setting.

The Elasto Gel Cervical Collar Provides Hot Or Cold Therapy
October 6th, 2017
If you suffer from muscle pain on a regular basis, then the Elasto-gel Cervical Collar is a great way to help you find some much needed relief without having to take a trip to the therapist. Designed to fit around your neck to treat your upper back, the collar is quick to heat and releases that heat into your muscles, providing increased circulation to help relax your muscles and remove built up toxins. The color heats in the microwave for easy use. It is designed as a quick treatment to be used in place of longer lasting, more expensive heated pads. Many of the reviews I researched showed that the Elasto collar fits well.
That leads one to believe that it is designed to fit snuggly on a variety of different body types and sizes, which is a plus. You can also order the same Elasto gel pack in different “configurations” meaning that if you need something like this for your knee or elbow, you could get that, instead. It doesn’t stay hot very long. If you are looking for a quick heat treatment, then the Elasto collar is a good choice. But you are going to have to run back and forth to the microwave every 15 minutes or so, according to one review I read online. Many of the other reviews pointed out the additional flaw that you will need to spend some time experimenting with your microwave to find the right time to heat the gel pad. If you leave it in too long it could burn you, and taking it out too quickly won’t provide the relief that you need.
