If you’re looking for an organic soap for the whole family to use, Dr. Bronner’s liquid castile soap is both affordable and sweet-smelling. Available in lavender and peppermint scents, these products are free of chemicals and dyes that can be harmful and irritating to sensitive skin. In an effort to care for the environment, this liquid castile soap uses no detergents or foaming agents, instead relying on 100% biodegradable and vegan ingredients. This pure castile soap can be used for just about anything, so pour some onto a loofa or washcloth and scrub away! There are other castile liquid soap products on the market to choose from.

But, few have the same superior ingredients as Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap. Vermont Soap Organics does offer a similar product that uses USDA certified ingredients. Reviewers love the fact that this soap can be used on any part of the body, including the skin and hair. However, more people preferred Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap, as it has a better smell that invigorates the senses. Vermont Soap Organics however, claims to be unscented, yet some reviewers found it to have a chalky, oatmeal odor. Ratings from owners are very positive and families love the chemical free, organic ingredients that make Dr. Bronner’s soap safe to use on everyone in the family. However, a few negative issues have surfaced, claiming that the soap isn’t as gentle as one may think. Some people said that it burned the skin, while others found that their face broke out. It’s difficult to know whether it was a reaction to switching soaps or something different altogether, as most people found the liquid soap to be as gentle and pure as water.
