The Diamondback Mini Viper Kid’s BMX Bike Is Well Suited For Kids
Last Updated on February 24, 2018 by Cassie Lyons
When your child is ready to upgrade from a trike to a big kid’s bike, consider the Diamondback Mini Viper Kids’ BMX Bike. A smaller version of the full-sized Diamondback Viper, this bike is geared specifically for kids aged four to eight. It has a compact frame and training wheels for those youngsters just learning to ride. Not a cheaply made bike, the Mini Viper Kids Cycle features a heavy-duty steel frame and fork. The aluminum wheels have twenty-eight spokes, and the seat is padded. This cycle for kids also has junior, “mushroom” style grips perfect for the smaller child in your family which will put a smile on their face.
Overall, customers on Amazon gave positive reviews of this model, noting the sturdiness and durability of the whole bike, including the training wheels. However, while the Diamondback Mini Viper does come with an owner’s manual that gives tips on safety, how to ride, and the like, customers were unhappy with the lack of assembly instructions.
The Positives
16-inch kid’s BMX racing bike designed for young riders. Built using same basic geometry as full-size Viper. Heavy-duty steel frame and fork and 28-spoke aluminum wheels. Jr. “mushroom”-type grips with Hi-Ten steel 2-piece handlebars. Recommended for ages 4 to 8 and includes training wheels for beginning riders.
The Negatives
Some reviewers were unhappy with the lack of assembly instructions. One reviewer had issues with the bike being too heavy.
So What’s The Scoop?
Designed with younger children in mind and with all the features and specifications of its larger counterpart, this is one youth bike that is sure to last and keep both parents and children happy.
An old-school BMX kid bike is still a classic. No matter how old you are, you probably knew someone with a BMX bike. Blue for boys and pink for girls. Aaaah… those were the days.
