Mr. Coffee Gold Coffee Filter Improves The Taste Of Coffee
Last Updated on May 16, 2020 by Cassie Lyons
Ever find yourself still sleepy when trying to make that first pot of coffee? Sometimes, especially when you’re tired, normal, disposable coffee filters can give you hassle by sticking together or not fitting right into the coffeemaker. Fumbling with filters can be a thing of the past with Mr. Coffee’s GTF2-One Basket-style Gold Tone Permanent Filter. This permanent filter is designed for use with most ten to twelve cup basket style coffeemakers. The gold tone filter is stylish and functional. For easy clean up, run the gold coffee filter under the faucet or throw it in the dishwasher for even easier cleanup. The filter is great for the wallet and the earth.
It should be noted, as brought up by customers online, that this filter features mesh on the sides only, and that the bottom piece is solid plastic. Some customers found this a drawback. Other customers felt the coffee filter did not adequately keep grounds from the finished coffee. On the positive side, many customers found success with the coffee filter.
The Positives
Fits most 10-12 cup basket-style coffeemakers. Cleans easily under running water and is dishwasher safe. Ease of use since you won’t need paper filters any longer. Prevents the soaking up of the flavoring oils from the coffee. Reduce long term cost of having to purchase more paper filters.
The Negatives
One reviewer mentioned having tiny coffee particulate in each pot of coffee. Bottom piece is solid plastic which some may not like.
So What’s The Scoop?
With this permanent filter, there are no worries of running out of filters or tossing the ground-filled used ones in the trash. User feedback produced a fine cup of coffee as it will not “soak up” oils from the grounds as paper filters might.
