Hamilton Beach Crock Pot Creates Healthy, Home Cooked Meals
Last Updated on October 17, 2017 by Cassie Lyons
Want to be greeted by the smell of dinner upon arriving home? Are commitments cutting into your cooking time? A slow cooker could be the answer. The Hamilton Beach Set ‘N Forget 6-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker is large enough to make meals for a family. The heavy, removable crock holds heat well once it reaches temperature. It also has a lock down lid feature to avoid spills. The Hamilton Beach Crock Pot features a digital control panel. While it is programmable, it is limited in what can be programmed. For example, it cannot be set to cook on High and then switch to Low for the remainder of the cooking time.
The main advantage of a slow cooker is not having to watch food while it cooks. While Hamilton Beach’s “Set ‘N Forget” feature is wonderful for a cook, it should be noted some who purchased this model complained of the unit randomly turning itself off or switching from Low to High during cooking without warning.
The Positives
Offers a 6-quart programmable slow cooker with LED digital control panel. Unit has 3 automatic-cooking options with program. Power-interrupt protection, clip-on spoon, clip-tight gasket lid. Dishwasher-safe stoneware and tempered-glass lid and user manual. Easy to read LED digital control panel and timer.
The Negatives
One reviewer said the programmable slow cooker turns itself off during the cook cycle sometimes. A user commented that the cord is short for her needed use.
So What’s The Scoop?
A slow cooker can be a great asset. With the ability to make cheaper cuts of meat tender, the Hamilton Beach Crock Pot is an easy and affordable way for you to make a home cooked meal.
