Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Moisturizing Shampoo: Can a Shampoo Cleanse Without Sulfate?
Last Updated on September 6, 2019 by Cassie Lyons
Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Moisturizing Shampoo cleanses your hair by utilizing sea salt and kelp to naturally cleanse without damaging or fading color. The product contains NO sulfate, so colored hair is safe with this one. It comes in a well-designed 8 oz. tube and even though it is a shampoo it comes out on the whiter side.
The Positives
This product surprisingly does not dry out the hair! I have used the Beach Babe Sea Salt Texturizing Spray and was extremely disappointed; however, this shampoo is in my top three. Your hair doesn’t have the weird squeaky feeling you often get when using sulfate based shampoos, yet it feels clean and leaves no oily residue behind. Also, the sever dollar price tag doesn’t hurt.
The Negatives
Truthfully I’d be nit picking to say this product had any negatives. But I will just for you guys. There isn’t an extreme amount of lather to this shampoo- whether that’s a good or bad thing depends on your preference. Plus some people do like the squeaky clean aspect of shampoos, but I personally feel like that is just damaging my hair when I want it to just have a healthy cleansing.
So What’s The Scoop?
Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Moisturizing Shampoo is a surprisingly cheap, gentle product that can suit any hair type. Hair can be oily, dry, colored, or damaged and this shampoo will cleanse it without overly drying it out or causing fading. All in all, I would suggest this shampoo to anyone.
