OXO Kitchen Tool Set Includes The Important Everyday Kitchen Tools
Last Updated on August 22, 2018 by Cassie Lyons
If you have never moved into your own place before, you wouldn’t understand what a blessing the OXO Good Grips 15-Piece Everyday Kitchen Tool Set can be. The OXO set has everything you need to help you cook in your first kitchen (aside from pots and pans). The OXO kitchen tool set includes everything you could need for your kitchen and really simplifies the process of collecting that first batch of kitchen tools. Some of the tools included are a swivel peeler, ice cream scoop, potato masher, can opener, balloon whisk, spatula, meat tenderizer and pizza wheel. The stainless steel safe utensil holder is dishwasher and comes with a removable drip tray. The container is said to be a bit small and there is some complains about the durability of some of the tools, but if you are looking for a cheap starter set, you can’t go wrong with the OXO kit.
The Positives
The most common compliment is the most expected, seeing as this tool set is named “The Good Grip.” Many people are impressed with how easy it is to hold these OXO tools while working with them, particularly the plane grater and the pizza cutter. Many people are also amazed at the overall value of the set. Each individual tool comes in at just under seven dollars each, which is far cheaper than what it would cost you to collect each tool individually.
The Negatives
The biggest complaint about this OXO kitchen utensils set is the small container that is included with it. It’s not able to effectively store all of the tools. This is a common complaint about many of the kitchen tool sets, including the popular Kitchen Aid 17 Piece Starter Set. Many have also complained about the cost associated with these cooking utensils, but there is a price on quality.
So What’s The Scoop?
If you’re looking to stock your first kitchen with all of the tools that you are going to need, or if you are giving someone a gift for moving in to their first place, the OXO tool set is a great way to get started. Grab an extra container for yourself or plan on putting some of the tools in a cabinet to make it easier to get at the tools. You could save a lot of money by going with a cheap set, such as the fore mentioned KitchenAid kit, but you aren’t as likely to get the same sort of longevity as you will from the OXO set. Regardless of your choice, the OXO brand is frequently reported to have some of the highest quality amongst the manufacturers of non-mechanical kitchen gadgets, but with a price tag to match.
