Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer Broad Spectrum 30 SPF Sunscreen is a tinted, light cream that comes in 2 sizes that vary in color, the travel size comes in only 2 different colors and the one ounce tube comes in 5 different shade varieties. It claims to be a five in one product that can treat aging, moisturize, prime, camouflage imperfections, and protect from UV damage. This product supposedly has an immense amount of skin benefiting ingredients- however there aren’t any specifics highlighted.

The Positives
This BB cream is vegan! Of course, ethically that’s awesome, but also the idea of putting animal products on your skin doesn’t sound so healthy. Also, this cream goes a super long way, so don’t be disappointed in the size because you really only need a pea size amount (or less) to cover your whole face. The texture of the product can also be marveled at as it is very creamy and smooth like a mousse.

The Negatives
Oh no- the dreadful negatives of the product, and unfortunately there are quite a few for this one, in my opinion. Usage, coverage, cost, and false advertising are just a few issues in the basic fundamentals of the product. There are several things this product is meant to be used for, but in general it doesn’t do anything… at all! Nothing positive or negative really occurs when you use it, personally it might make my skin even oiler. And as a tinted BB cream you would think it might tint your face when you use it, but it truthfully doesn’t cover anything or blur any imperfection big or small. Plus, thirty-six dollars for 1 ounce of anything is just too high- especially for this product. Finally, I’ll mention the most obvious problem: the advertising of this product. If it’s just a regular ol’ BB cream- tell us, don’t make it out to be something it isn’t like some miracle product when it doesn’t even contain any scientifically proven ingredients to improve any of our common skin problems.

The price is also quite high for a truthfully yawn worthy product. So should you even try this? No, save yourself the money and go buy one or more solid products that maybe only have one benefit, but they focus on that benefit and excel in providing it.
