Ultra HD Foundation by Make up Forever is a liquid foundation that comes in an easy pump container. This foundation comes in 40 colors. 40. From Alabaster to Dark Brown, you will find your perfect match somewhere in between. This is a new advancement in the product which previously hadn’t created as many shades, but due to its popularity it has become more diverse in its range of colors. The foundation specifically addresses the adverse effects makeup tends to give on camera- everyone knows the pictures of stars on tabloids with faces covered in cakey makeup that accentuates large pores, peach fuzz, and any minor imperfections- it’s not pretty. But with this specially formulated foundation, make up actually does its job! It blurs imperfections, blends discoloration, and diffuses wrinkles without sticky to your face like plaster.

The Positives
Of course the best part of this foundation is its range in colors! It’s also an easily buildable foundation, so that you can pay special attention to covering problem areas. The finish is also long-lasting, and it doesn’t come off as too matte or too dewy- equilibrium of the two is reached with only a light coat but still reached even when you have to go a little heavy on application.

The Negatives
This foundation is on the expensive side. It runs for about 43 dollars for a pump, but it does last quite a while especially when compared to powder foundations. However, my favorite topic to bring up (oily skin) holds a quite problematic issue with this foundation. Although the finish works well on oily skin, it is a fleeting positive. The longer I wore this foundation, the more I felt as if my face was covered in a sticky paste. Also I cannot verify this for everyone, but I felt as if my acne worsened after using this product all day and taking it off in the evening. With this discovery I cannot say this is an appropriate foundation for oily skin, but it may be perfect for those with combination or dry skin.

Ultra HD Foundation by Make Up Forever is a liquid foundation that creates a literal photo finish on camera. The colors vary far and wide and it’s long-lasting without having to reapply. But every rose has its thorns, this foundation is a tad expensive and can become problematic as you wear it if you have oily skin. If you’re going on vacation or plan on being in the spotlight for extended periods of time, this product is for you. But as an everyday foundation that you want to just accentuate your natural beauty, this baby just won’t do.
