TonyMoly I’m Real Aloe Face Sheet Mask: Is it for You?

TonyMoly I’m Real Aloe Face Sheet Mask is an aloe vera and bamboo juice infused sheet mask. It’s meant for hydrating and supposed to left on your face for 20 to 30 mins. After removing the sheet you’re supposed to rub in the serum left on you by the mask. Aloe vera is one of my favorite ingredients due to its variety of compounds that are great for you skin. Due to the vitamin E and C there’s no lack of antioxidants to help in skin healing. There’s also a hormone called Giberellin which stimulates cell growth, and there are even anti-inflammatory properties within the natural genetic makeup of the aloe vera plant. But there’s another key ingredient in this mask I’m not too familiar with: bamboo juice. I haven’t seen it before in a product, but I do know it too is filled with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory content, and silica. All of these benefit your skin in aiding in healing and moisturizing.

The Positives
This sheet mask is cooling and moisturizing, and even paraben free! Having the main ingredients be of natural origin is also good to know sense you’re applying it directly to your face.

The Negatives
Oh boy, I really wanted to like this mask- but there are big problems. One problem that is quite subjective is the mask didn’t fit me, I have a very short face and so half the mask I had to roll up and just hold on my face, not fun for 20-30 mins, but now to mention the more objective issues. Although the mask felt kind of nice at first, once I took it off it felt just gross. It felt like there was mucus on my face and even though I wasn’t supposed to wash it off, I did a couple hours after use. It didn’t seem to moisturize me, but caused me to produce more oil and not particularly improve my skin in any way.

So What’s The Scoop?
TonyMoly I’m Real Aloe Face Sheet Mask is a bad buy- at least for me. I assume if you have a sunburn or maybe seriously dry skin, this product could work for you! Let us know if you try it because I was sadly disappointed as a loyal TonyMoly fangirl and I’d love to be comforted by just knowing the product was great, but just not meant for me.
