Nuwave Oven – Perfect meats fast!
Last Updated on July 1, 2016 by Cassie Lyons
The Nuwave Oven uses convection heat to cook food quickly. The heat source is in the top component and distributes the heat throughout the machine providing an even cook for your food. It has power level settings, a timer, a drip pan, two sizes of racks, an extender ring, and a cheat sheet for cooking. The rack comes in a 1″ and 4″ size (depending on which side you flip it to). The drip pan, rack, dome, and extender ring are all dishwasher safe for easy cleanup after you are done. Also, the components fit inside the dome to provide easy storage for the machine.
The cheat sheet allows you to take a quick glance and figure out which power level, and time you need for any item you wish to cook whether it is frozen or fresh. Some of the categories they include are poultry, pork, beef, seafood, and veggies. You are able to cook a whole meal in the Nuwave Oven at once with meat being on the rack and your veggies being in your drip pan. It also allows you to cook casseroles in their silicone dish that you can add on, or muffins in their silicone muffin cups. In the Nuwave Oven you are able to cook a whole chicken or turkey (up to 17 pounds) which frees up your oven for the rest of your side dishes and desserts.
The Positives
This product has had many reviews throughout the years. The customers comment about their love of an easy of clean up. They also love that the machine cooks the food just like it’s shown in the infomercials. The food is kept moist and cooked all the way through and cooks the food faster than an oven. Another comment that is seen often in the reviews that they don’t have to preheat the Nuwave Oven or defrost the meat and veggies for them to be able to cook properly.
The Negatives
Although the majority of the customers who have tried the Nuwave have loved it, some didn’t think it lived up to their expectations. One of the biggest complaints about the Nuwave Oven is that it is rather bulky, especially if left out on the counter all of the time. As well as cooking times are sometimes slightly off. Most found an easy fix by flipping the meat and veggies halfway through the cooking time, they found it also browns the food better this way as well.
So What’s The Scoop?
I would recommend this Nuwave Oven to anyone who works a lot or has school. It is made for single people, couples, or large families which makes it a versatile product. I would however, only recommend the product to those who have the storage space and counter space for the product as it is quite large. It is the perfect gift for a college student or family member who wants to eat healthier and have dinner on the table quicker.
